San Diego Sustain acts as a hub for people to share their ideas on how San Diego residents can conserve energy and resources. This section is filled with ideas submitted by the San Diego public regarding sustainability and conservation. Always turn off lights that aren't in use to save energy

Use liquid amonia instead of bleach to clean toilets/sinks. It is nontoxic and won't damage the environment.

Recycle and reuse resources whenever possible

Reduce the amount of resources that you use. For example: you can use only half a paper towel instead of the whole piece.

Use reuseable plates and silverware instead of disposable. This reduces the amount of resources that get thrown away.

Become familiar with local eco system before doing any landscaping. You could be destroying a native animal's home without knowing.
